Nice 6m opening and a FIRST EVER ....
The opening on 6m takes the half day to be but the results was great. And the highlight of the day was the FIRST EVER QSO with Polland on 4m.
The FIRST (to the half) belongs to SP2JYR.

Some infos about DJ6SI story (update)
First of all let me clear that DJ6SI he is not in jail. Police arrest him late the night (using anonymous info) and the very next morning he guided to the court with a lawyer that court find for him. During his arrest (as the police says and his lawyer confirms) he try to destroy his FT-890 and a Laptop and to kill him shelf. His lawyer at video ask sorry about this and says that his customer was drunk.Court ask to be translated all his papers for the trial and they leave him to go.
Baldur is now at his home at Germany FREE and the trial is dated for June 7.
I call his layer right when i informed the case and ask to him to call me as witness ONLY to explain what ham radio is to the court. A local ham and friend from Kos island (SV5AZR) will be on court as I know to do this.
I have almost daily E-mail communication with Baldur.
The only reason that Im trying to help is the Ham radio and the place where Im living. In the place of Baldur can be anyone of us..
Some people says that Baldur have a grey history to follow him and some problems in other DXpeditions... This is not my problem. Is a Ham with CEPT agreement licence who have trouble in my homeland.... That's all.
After all nowdays if some one wants to give info as spy is not necesery to put antennas and cary radios with him. A smart GSM phone is OK... that's my 2 cents...
Unforunately Kos is not the only place in the world that the authorities have no idea what amateur radio is. Also remind that the people they afraid what is not familiar everywhere in this world. Some times Hams looks like strange people and some things is looks like devil (our radios) and some other times Morse machine keep dark memories to some people helped with Holywood movies with spies. That can happen...
Many Ham "friends" get a good oportunity to leave their poison about Greece. I found in several forums, blogs and web pages comments that I refuse to accept that is belongs to Hams. Someone says "...throw them money to release Baldur"...!!! Thats the real shame. Maybe we are as nation in very bad economical situation but we still the owners of greek word FILOXENIA.
20 years now as Ham I have welcome over 200 Ham at my island offer to them hoslpitality and help for their Ham operations form the simplest one to big ones as J45M EME DXpedition. And is not only me but ALL of us in Greece. I open my house and my shack and our local club SZ5RDS to all and the best answer to this poison is their opinion about Greece and Greeks. So stop blame my country...!!!
Greek people still friendly as you know them thrue thousands of years and they wait for you in Greece as every year. We stiil have the best ways to leave your myth in Greece. If you plan to visit Rhodes island will be my pleasure to be your guide to the island. Just drop me a E-mail...!!!
If you plan to operate during your holidays at Rhodes island and you still affraid (!) the authorities, DON'T bring any radios with you.

That can happen only at Greece....!!!!
On video above the lawyer of SV5/DJ6SI explain how the Greek court charge the German Radio amateur for his transmissions from Kos island.
They arrest him and (as he said) he try to hang himself with a belt during the police operation....!!!
Unbelievable story for us all in Radio amateur Community.
I wrote to him an E-mail just to say sorry and to be as an witness at court just to explain to court what the Amateur Radio is.
All those years from 1962 till today http://www.pileup.de.com/
70 countries all over the world and only in Greece the authorities think that the man was a SPY....!!!!
I'm calling all radio amateurs to accept my sorry about this.
Also remind to all ham friends before to come Greece and after finishing the paper work to contact some local ham(s) to avoid possibly situation like this.

Date: 3rd full weekend of May, from 12:00 UTC Saturday till 12:00 UTC Sunday For 2011 is 21 and 22 of May.
Mode: RTTY BAUDOT.
Bands: 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters, according to the IARURegion 1 band plan.
Classes:
1) Single operator all band
2) Multioperator all bands.
Contest call: "CQ AEGEAN TEST". Or ARTTY TESTor any other msg.
Valid contacts: Any station can be contacted during thecontest. Every station can be contacted once per band.
Exchange: RST + QSOnumber starting with 001.
Scoring:
On 10,15,20 meters one (1) point forQSO within own continent
On 10,15,20 meters two (2) points QSOoutsite own continent
On 40,80 meters three (3) point for QSO within own continent

Another day on 6 and 4m...
Nice open to 6m with over 4 hours of Es to all directions
4m suprise all the time. Today couple G stations and many I, and S5.
Unfortunatelly no way to make the first ever with PA land.

1st 6m sporadic E opening...
Was only 30min and two stations but is the 1st opening for 2012. EA3EKY and IS0GQX is the calls that I worked today.

UPDATE
Few hours later from 15:00z to 17:00 a strong Es give me th oportunity to work another 196 stations from UK to ZS....!!! The most of them was Italians and 9As.
Big continue pileup with no problems...
Some screenshots shows that game played around Greece. My good friends from Ctete (SV9CJO and SV9GPV) makes also big pileups... A new 6m season just starts with the best way....

Another QSLing week....
Another 429 QSL are gone this week... This time with the great help of SV5QND (Toula). She is the fastest QSL Manager I've seen..... hi hi
Some QSLs comes with no any SAE and IRC or USDs. and will not be answered. QSLing is a agreement of gentlemans...
Maybe it takes me some time more due to traffic, but all QSLs that have all that I need to sent it back are gone....
