Uninstalling the 1.5m dish (that was too big for NB) I install a brand new 80cm dish with the same POTY feed. Thanks George SV5KJO for donation.

New QO-100 antenna and feed....
Last weekend I decide to upgrade my QO-100 antenna system. My good friend SV5SKE Euripidis gave me a 1.5m diameter prime focus dish (brand new). Also PE1LWT a year before send me an POTY feed so the gear it was around and ready to be assembled. The only thing that have to carry was the waterproof of feed point and BullsEye LNB preparation. My good friend Vangelis SV5FRV make the 3D printing of POTY parts.Thanks guys... The construction takes all Suturday long and went just fine. Few final adjustments needed and Im count on the help of my good friend SV5KJO Giorgos as an Satellite expert. With my very fast adjastments, my signal on QO-100 improves and I see signals as 59+ on downlink...

HF Yagi antenna maintenance 2
A big thanks to SV5/SV2MAC Kostas for his excellent work on my A3S traps (cleaning and retune) New plastic covers from RayCap for traps and check with NanoVNA. Next days will reassemble the Yagi and hook it up again on tower.

HF Yagi antenna maintenance....
My HF yagi antenna (Cushcraft A3S) is down for meintenance after many years on roof. Trap covers gone by the wind and SWR readings at 10m and 15m moves higher than center frequencies. My good friend Nikos SV5KKN, helps on tower work and guywires change. During antenna disassembly a trap spacer broke. Looking on Internet I found a 3D printer file for it. Vaggelis SV5FRV offer me a quick printing. Now the traps and spare parts are ready to leave for Kalymnos where SV5/SV5MAC Kostas will clean and retune them. Thanks for Ham Spirit and help guys....!!!

A VHF transceiver module is already in use and next days a UHF module will be ready for local area repeaters.

Es'hail QO-100 Geostationary SAT from our club station
At October 23 we manage to make about 35 QSOs after the antenna installation at our club station SZ5RDS. The antenna is 2,4 meter diameter dish with prime focus and a dual feed antenna for 2,4 GHz and 10 GHz LNB. The power amplifier was an EDUP-AB300 8w (2,5w in real world) driven by two SPF-5189z preamps in cascade. The radio used was my ADALM PLUTO SDR with TCXO modification for stable RX-TX. Software for RX-TX was the very impressive DJ0ABR Linux Tranceiver v 1.70.
A big thanks to SV5AZP, SV5KJO, SV5SKE, SV5SKF as Satellite expirement team.
Hope to have soon a permanent installation and hear you via the satellite...!!!
