CQ WW RTTY Contest....

This weekend QRV on CQ WW RTTY Contest from my 2nd QTH at South Rhodes just to give a multiplier to the hams  of the world...

Cushcraft A3S HF antenna 1:1 balun repair....

Last months my 3 el HF antenna increase SWR unexpected ....

Checking the feed point I saw a cuted aluminum conductor ....

Thanks to my good ham friends we repair it today.

Open to USA on 17m R T T Y ...!!!

Over 30 USA stations mostly from area 7 on my log tonight... Also many north Europeans comes 5-9++

That makes the difference is the variable filters  of Icom IC-7000 on FSK mode....

The last two weeks Im testing daily the behavior of IC-7000 on digital modes mostly on RTTY (FSK)

This radio makes me happy....

R T T Y pure FSK transmission with IC-7000 ....

   
After many years I decide to make at last FSK transmission against my obsession of AFSK. So easily found on Internet good ideas for FSK keying....






Put them all in a  connector is not big deal....  hi hi

Here is my screen.... Thats make me exciting was the usage of filters on my IC-7000.... Look how tight is the RX bandwith up-right on screen...






And here is the screen of IC-7000...  Waterfall display downright is cool...    Overheat of rig after 2 hour on-air make me  ...angry...!!!

Short 6m opening today with only 2 stations in my log 

EA7DUD  and UX1BZ.

Long time CQing without any results after this two  stations....

Holidays News....

Last 8 days Im spend my time with family and friends.Lot of Sun, Sea and ....Beer.

Im still on KM36VC and I will try  some RTTY  or other fuzzy modes the next days at HF.

Nice Tropospheric also today.

Checking FM repeaters SV3B from Peloponesse comes 5-9+ and I make a short QSO with SV1CII/m who located to Nafplion. Also R-1  from Athens comes on busy.   All repeater from Crete as usual 5-9+60.

My morning activity starts good.

At 4:00z  was trying with 9A3JH/p and we complete in 5 minutes !!!

Effort with LZ3RX  gives only 1 ping.  NO QSO.

Now Im trying with S54T  and also YT3I waiting as next station.

The 5  min QSO with 9A3JH/p promises good rocks input but maybe was random...

Murfy strikes....

Im arrive to 2nd QTH and after wife helping I turn the radio on.  Asking for sced I get a reply from HB9FAP and we start trying.  After 3 minutes a power failure in my area sent my station off air for about 1,5 hours.

Now Im trying again....
