Holidays are over in KM36vc....

Summer holidays at KM36VC are over...  We go back at Rhodes town at Monday morning.

Radio activity will continue at weekends....

6m opening .....

Short 6m opening today with only 2 stations in my log 

EA7DUD  and UX1BZ.

Long time CQing without any results after this two  stations....

Holidays News....

Last 8 days Im spend my time with family and friends.Lot of Sun, Sea and ....Beer.

Im still on KM36VC and I will try  some RTTY  or other fuzzy modes the next days at HF.

Crazy Tropo.... (also today)!!!

Nice Tropospheric also today.

Checking FM repeaters SV3B from Peloponesse comes 5-9+ and I make a short QSO with SV1CII/m who located to Nafplion. Also R-1  from Athens comes on busy.   All repeater from Crete as usual 5-9+60.

My morning activity starts good.

At 4:00z  was trying with 9A3JH/p and we complete in 5 minutes !!!

Effort with LZ3RX  gives only 1 ping.  NO QSO.

Now Im trying with S54T  and also YT3I waiting as next station.

The 5  min QSO with 9A3JH/p promises good rocks input but maybe was random...

Murfy strikes....

Im arrive to 2nd QTH and after wife helping I turn the radio on.  Asking for sced I get a reply from HB9FAP and we start trying.  After 3 minutes a power failure in my area sent my station off air for about 1,5 hours.

Now Im trying again....

HOLIDAYS on KM36vc...

From tomorrow Wednesday 11-8-2010 my holidays at KM36VC starting. My time will be shared between family and radio. During Perseids peak I'll be active on 2m band working as more station are possible. Many people like to work KM36 and sometimes the list is too long. I will keep each list maximum to 5 stations and after tests will update it again.  15 minutes (+/- 5 minutes) will be the maximum time for each station. Also 6m operation is of course in my plans if propagation helps.  Hope to work you.

6m opening....

Very strange opening this afternoon with strong QSB.

I m also QRV on 4m but nothing so far.

Noisy QTH make my life on high bands very difficult with S-meter to show 5-6 units noise...!!!  Many weak stations are disappeared into the noise.

Hope conditions to be better later and before the band is closed.

Great Tropo Conditions....

Very nice Tropospheric conditions all-day long...

Due to my MS activity I check only SV3B (R-2) FM repeater that is located 496 Km away from my 2nd QTH. Signals was 59+20 the most of the day and the access to repeater was only with 10 watts on a 2 x 5/8 Diamond antenna.

The forecast given for the week is high....

Nice start this morning  (after 2 unexcepted crashes of my PC):

OK1UGA    ------ NO QSO  (1 BURST)

All QSLs are sent (finally)...!!!

Today the last 286 Qsl cards are finally gone....The last 4 months are spend over 800 Euro for stamps and envelopes . (that for the people that they think DX stations make money thru QSLing.)  

Over 50 hours of paper work and log update are spended...

Over 1000 people now ....are HAPPY.
